Russia fires S-300 systems at newly liberated Kherson region settlements
On the night of October 6 to 7, invading Russian forces shelled the de-occupied settlements of the Beryslav district, Kherson region.
Operational Command South (OC South) reported this.
"To deter our troops, the Russian enemy inflicts fire damage on positions and territorial communities adjacent to the contact line, terrorizing the civilian population of the region and attacking rear areas with kamikaze drones and missile strikes. Reconnaissance of the position of our units and correction of artillery fire is carried out through the active use of unmanned aerial vehicles," OC South reported.
On the night of October 6 to 7, unmanned spies were discovered in the Beryslav district, Kherson region, and Bashtan district, Mykolaiv region.
The Russian aggressor struck the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions and the settlements of the Bashtansky and recently liberated Beryslav districts. The Russian forces used guided missiles of the S-300 anti-aircraft system. There were no casualties.
"Enemy MLRS and heavy artillery fired at the Nikopol area. Almost 40 shells were fired at Nikopol. Several high-rise buildings, more than 10 private houses, farm buildings, a transport infrastructure company, gas pipelines, and power lines were damaged. There were no losses or casualties. The Myrivske and Marhanets communities suffered from Russian attacks. The extent of the damage is being clarified," OC South added.
