Ukraine gives part of its territories to Russia: Center for Countering Disinformation refutes new fake

Russians have launched a fake news about Ukraine's alleged consent to give up the occupied territories for a ceasefire

The Center for Countering Disinformation reported this.

Thus, the Russians send messages to Ukrainians' email accounts allegedly from the Ukrainian President's Office, which refer to a "ceasefire with the Russian Federation" and the "transfer of part of the territories to the aggressor country."

"In fact, the messages being spread are a fake by the Russian PSYOP, which aims to influence the moral and psychological state of Ukrainian citizens and discredit the state leadership," the Center noted.

Ukrainians were urged to trust only verified information on the official pages of government agencies, not to click on dubious hyperlinks, as they may hide a phishing resource. Also, to not enter confidential data on suspicious websites.

"Download programs and applications only from official sources. Use anti-virus software. Update your operating system in time," the Center for Countering Disinformation and cyber police emphasized.
