According to the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, on April 5, the Russians launched three major deceptions.
Fake: The propaganda publication IZ .RU wrote: "Russia's Armed Forces entered the suburbs of Chasiv Yar".
Fake: Russian investigators report that the phone of one of the suspects in the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack contained images of people in camouflage uniforms with a Ukrainian flag against the backdrop of destroyed buildings and a Ukrainian postage stamp with an obscene gesture.
Fake: The so-called advisor to the head of the DPR terrorist group, traitor Gagin, said: "Representatives of the Azov national battalion have arrived in Kharkiv. The main purpose of their presence there is to carry out punitive functions and fight against pro-Russian residents."
