Russia ramps up information warfare to drive division in Ukraine over mobilization

The Center for Countering Disinformation shared the information on Telegram. 

The Center highlighted that Russia is exploiting sensitive topics related to mobilization.

“Enemy propaganda is trying to introduce calls for protests against mobilization efforts into the Ukrainian information space. The goal of these manipulations is to divide and weaken Ukrainian society,” the Center stated.

They also pointed out a rise in disinformation operations related to mobilization issues, aimed at discrediting Ukraine, in the English-language segment of the social media platform X.

• In late February, the Security Service of Ukraine warned of new attempts by Russian special services to undermine the socio-political situation in Ukraine. 
• Later, Andriy Yusov, a representative of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, stated that Russia was continuing its efforts to destabilize the socio-political situation in Ukraine, attempting to "use all tools to the maximum."
