Putin lies about Russian troops crossing into Ukraine from Kursk region

Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, stated this. The Center itself also confirms this information.

The Center verified this information with Ukraine’s Defense Forces. According to their reports, a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group attempted to infiltrate Ukrainian territory but was destroyed.

“There is currently no Russian military force in the area capable of conducting a large-scale offensive into Ukraine. Attempts by Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups to infiltrate happen frequently, but they are eliminated by the Defense Forces. Putin’s claim about a large-scale Russian offensive is a lie,” Kovalenko stated.

Earlier, the Russian propaganda outlet TASS reported that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin claimed that soldiers from the 810th Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces had allegedly crossed the border into Ukraine in the Kursk region.

“The latest information I received just an hour ago – last night, soldiers of the 810th Brigade crossed the border between the Russian Federation and Ukraine and entered enemy territory,” the outlet quoted Putin as saying.
