"If we recall the number of missiles used in one strike and the intervals between them at the beginning of the invasion and what is happening today, these are not comparable things. The Russians, even as they continue to produce and build up their missile armament in a certain way, are not able to compensate for the missile potential they have already spent. But yes, production continues. And yes, Russia continues to use, in some cases, foreign components, especially microcircuits and chips. But not only. If we're talking about production, this can even apply to such simple things as bearings, which are simply difficult to find in Russia," Yusov explained.
The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine emphasized that sanctions pressure on Russia should be increased.
"Russians bypass Western sanctions in various ways. There is simply black smuggling and a huge gray history. A number of countries that, for example, have not joined the European Union and US sanctions against Russia, may purchase certain dual-use goods or goods that contain elements of interest to the Russian military-industrial complex. And then, through individual firms, mostly not within the framework of state policy, these things end up on the Russian market. Formally, even unofficial, non-governmental organizations act as customers, but we all understand what this is used for. That is, there is a need to strengthen the sanctions policy and sanctions pressure so that washing machines, irons or TVs are not used to gut them, take out chips and microcircuits to kill Ukrainians with Russian missiles," he added.
