Explosions at Russian military site in Vladivostok linked to Ukrainian operation
On the morning of May 30, Ukraine’s military intelligence carried out a special operation at the location of the 155th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade's Air Assault Battalion in Vladivostok
This was reported by Interfax, Suspilne, and Ukrainska Pravda, citing sources in the intelligence services.
According to the reports, the explosions in Vladivostok, at the site of the 155th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade's Air Assault Battalion of the Russian Armed Forces, were the result of a special operation by Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR).
It is reported that on the morning of May 30, at least two explosions occurred near Desantnaya Bay, at the location of the 155th Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces. One explosion took place near a checkpoint, and another—at the location of the brigade’s personnel and command of military unit 30926.
Local channels reported the removal of damaged equipment from the military unit’s territory using Ural trucks. It was also noted that after the explosions, at least ten ambulances and an evacuation helicopter arrived at the scene. However, the Russian local authorities claimed it was allegedly the explosion of two gas cylinders and that "no one was injured."
According to agency sources, a "counterterrorism operation mode" was declared in Vladivostok. The area around the military unit was blocked, and the road between Shamora Bay and the village of Shchitova was closed off.
The 155th Guards Naval Infantry Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces has been actively involved in the war against Ukraine, including participation in battles in Mariupol, Vuhledar, and the Kursk region.
- On May 17, drones from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck ammunition depots of Russia’s 126th Separate Guards Coastal Defense Brigade near the Crimean village of Perevalne.
