Russia expands draft age. Expert claims new wave of mobilization ahead
Russia plans to conduct a new wave of mobilization to replenish its significant losses in Ukraine
Military expert Denys Popovych shared his opinion with Espreso TV.
"The Russian authorities are obviously preparing for mobilization, despite official statements. If Russia officially declares something, the reality will be the opposite. Legislative decisions are aimed at expanding the contingent that can be drafted into the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces: extending the conscription age and others," he emphasized.
According to the expert, Russia needs to replenish its losses at the front, and they are significant. Thus, when the first wave of partial mobilization was announced in November 2022, the number slightly exceeded 74,000 conscripts, and now it is approaching 250,000.
