Russia declares it impossible to return Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to Ukraine's control
Russia's Federation Council Vice-speaker, Konstantin Kosachev, claims that control over the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant cannot be returned to Ukraine, as he claims the Ukrainians "will not be able to ensure its safety".
Pro-Kremlin Interfax reported this.
"The only way to ensure safety at the nuclear power plant is to have 100% control over its activities. The Ukrainian authorities cannot, in principle, ensure such control under the conditions of a "special military operation" (as the Russians call the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine - Ed.)", Kosachev claimed.
He believes that "admission to the territory of the station by any unauthorized persons, who are not authorized, will carry the risk of further provocations".
