Russia de facto launches offensive in Luhansk region, has no significant success - Luhansk Military Administration
Over the past week, the number of Russian shelling and daily attacks has increased in the Luhansk region. Accordingly, the escalation has already begun
This was stated by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai.
"This is part of the full-scale offensive that Russia was planning. Over the past 7 to 10 days, our Defense Forces have been repelling constant attacks. The number of attacks has increased, as well as the number of daily offensives. They were trying to find out the weaknesses of our defense, and now they are focusing maximum efforts on the direction of Kreminna. Our guys are constantly repelling a huge number of enemy attacks there," he said.
According to Haidai, Russian troops are not making significant progress. Although the situation is difficult, it is fully controlled by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, there is no breakthrough.
As for the Svatove-Kupiansk direction, according to Haidai, the situation there is stable and controlled. Instead, in the Kreminna direction, Russian troops continue to attack with heavy equipment and launch aviation. In the direction of Bilohorivka, Russian forces are trying to push through the Ukrainian defense, also launching aviation, including helicopters, but Ukrainian troops are holding firm.
