Russia claims its top investigator Yevgeny Rybakov is killed in Donetsk

The Russian Federation's Investigative Committee reported this. 

It is noted that Rybakov was killed on December 30 during artillery fire. Other circumstances of his death were not specified.

The Russian Federation's Investigative Committee reported that Rybakov investigated war crimes allegedly committed by Ukraine's Armed Forces against civilians and the Russian military. It is also noted that he was repeatedly awarded medals for his service. In particular, Rybakov took part in the Russian-Chechen war.

Russia’s Investigative Committee expressed condolences to Rybakov's family and opened a criminal investigation into his death.
