Kremlin's attack on Baltic States can play cruel joke on Russia - Ukrainian General Yahun

Major General of the Security Service of Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine in 2014-2015 Viktor Yahun believes that Sweden may soon become a full-fledged NATO member, and then the Baltic States will be closed to Russia forever

He spoke about this on Espreso TV.

"This is going crazy, it can really play a cruel joke on Russia. I think that in about six months, Sweden may become a full member of the Alliance and the Baltic will be closed to Russia forever. That is, the Baltic Fleet will turn into a useless toy, and I don't know what they will do with it, but that's left to them to think about. Their problem is that even if they organize an offensive in the direction that everyone is talking about, namely against the Baltic States, it will be the end of everything for Russia. First of all, they are screwing themselves, and I think that in response, the Kaliningrad region will simply be destroyed," explained the Security Service reserve major general.

According to him, Russia will then lose the ability to access the Atlantic Ocean.

"If they do this, I emphasize once again, it's crazy, because they are preparing for this, and they are preparing very seriously. If the concept before was that by 2022 Russia would attack and about a month later NATO forces would come in to liberate the occupied territories, that is, in no way preventive strikes, then there is a question of a strong preventive strike not only on those positions where they can concentrate, and the fact that they will concentrate will be immediately obvious, but also on the centers of so-called decision-making. A tentative strike: 500 high-precision missiles at once, whether Russia can withstand such a strike - I don't know, it will be just as interesting for me,"  Reserve Major General concluded.
