Russia attempts to reach Lysychansk from rear - Territorial defense officer
Serhiy Shakun, a Territorial defense officer, has talked about the situation in the Luhansk region, which remains hot because Russia continues to attack on all fronts where it has the opportunity.
He shared the update with Espreso.
"The situation in the Luhansk region is consistently hot. Russian forces continue to attack on all fronts where possible. They are trying hard to block the Lysychansk-Bakhmut transport artery, advance from Popasna through Komyshuvakha to Vrubivka, also through Volodymyrivka to Berestove, but receive a strong rebuff. The hotspot where Russia is trying to reach Lysychansk through Nyzhne and Orikhove, so to speak, from the rear, but has no result. Severodonetsk stands, repelling attacks. If earlier it was not so hot in Metelkine, today there are fights and it's very hot," said the officer.
Serhiy Shakun stressed that on June 17 Ukrainian positions remained in the same places; Luhansk region isn't occupied, Severodonetsk isn't occupied.
