Russia attacks Odesa with 12 Iranian-made drones, hitting infrastructure
On the night of April 18-19, Russian troops attacked Odesa with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. The Armed Forces managed to shoot down 10 out of 12 UAVs

According to local authorities, Odesa was attacked by Russia’s Iranian kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136 type.
The Odesa district military administration reported that the defense forces successfully destroyed most of the enemy's UAVs. However, a public infrastructure object was hit, causing a fire. There are no reported casualties, and emergency services and other structures are working to contain the fire.
The Air Force confirmed that the attack was aimed at Odesa, and 10 out of 12 Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones were destroyed by the Odesa anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Air Command of the Southern Air Command.
Odesa residents reported hearing explosions at approximately 01:50 and 02:10, and an air alert was declared in the region at 01:47. The air raid siren sounded at 03:01.
Serhiy Bratchuk, spokesman for Odesa regional military administration, shared a message that could allude to the work of the air defense forces.
