"On the night of September 13, 2023, the Russian invaders attacked Odesa and Sumy regions with several groups of Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs from three directions: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Cape Chauda, Kursk," the Ukrainian Air Force reports.
It is noted that the terrorists launched 44 drones in total. The invaders once again chose the southern districts of Odesa region and the region's port infrastructure as their main target.
"Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Air Force and Defense Forces are involved in repelling the attack," the statement added.
"For 4.5 hours at night, Russia attacked Odesa region with drones. Once again, they targeted the civilian infrastructure of the Danube region," the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine report.
However, they hit the port infrastructure. As a result, non-residential buildings were damaged and a fire broke out in the truck parking lot.
Also, 7 civilian drivers were taken to the hospital with injuries of varying severity.
"Unfortunately, there were hits. Damage to the port and other civilian infrastructure was recorded. The consequences are being eliminated. Rescuers are extinguishing the fire," the Odesa Regional Military Administration wrote.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces confirmed the launch of the Shahed drones and added the threat of cruise missiles in the Black Sea.
"In the Black Sea, there is 1 surface missile carrier on combat duty, equipped with up to 8 Kalibr missiles. Other information spread by the public is not reliable," the statement reads.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that air defense forces destroyed 3 Shahed drones over the region.
At 2:31 a.m., the Air Force warned of the danger in the Sumy region.
