Russia attacks Mykolaiv with Kalibr missiles: one person killed, 23 wounded, including child

On the night of April 27, Russian occupiers launched a missile attack from the Black Sea on Mykolaiv, damaging houses, causing casualties and injuries

Operational Command South reports that 23 people were injured.

"At night, the enemy attacked Mykolaiv with Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea. Four missiles were launched using terrain features and trajectory changes to complicate detection. Given that this is a high-precision weapon that works according to the targeting coordinates, it is an obvious fact of terrorizing the civilian population," the agency writes.

One private house was reportedly destroyed, another damaged, and a residential high-rise and a historic building also damaged.

The fires have been extinguished and the rubble is being cleared.

"Currently, we know about one dead and 23 wounded civilians, including one child," the press service added.

Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, reported one dead and 15 wounded earlier.

"S-300 - 4 pieces preliminary," Kim wrote on his telegram channel. And later added: "At least one in a high-rise building.”

The head of the Mykolaiv region clarified that two more missiles hit the private sector, and ambulances were sent to the scene.

Suspilne TV channel, citing regional police chief, reported that there were victims of the shelling of a residential building in Mykolaiv. Rescue services were working at the scene at night.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych confirmed four explosions and added that some buildings in the city were without power.

At 1:40 am, the all-clear signal sounded.
