Russia attacks Dnipropetrovsk region, causing destructions
On the night of December 19, Russian troops have shelled the Dnipropetrovsk region, launched more than 60 shells from “grads” and heavy artillery at the Nikopol region. Ukrainian air defense has shot down 2 Shahed drones
Valentyn Reznichenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported the information on Telegram.
During the day, Russian troops fired 60 Grad shells at 3 communities of the Nikopol district: Chervonohryhorivka, Myriv and Marhanets. There were no casualties.
Reznichenko said that 11 private houses, 6 outbuildings, cars, a gas pipeline and a power line were damaged in Chervonohryhorivka community. Due to the attack, the water utility pumping station has no power supply, several villages have no water supply, emergency crews are already working.
In Marhanets, Russian shells hit over 20 private houses and outbuildings, a children's and youth sports school, a lyceum, an art school and an administrative building. Several power grids were also damaged. It is also noted that a fire broke out in a private household, rescuers extinguished the fire.
Reznichenko said that the military of the East air command managed to destroy 2 Shahed drones flying over the region.
On the night of December 19, Russian troops attacked Kyiv and the region with Shahed drones. Air defense forces managed to shoot down 15 drones, but some reached their targets and hit Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.
