Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, rector of the Kherson State University, reported the the university was damaged by the Russian attack.
"An hour ago, the aggressor hit the university's assembly hall," he said and posted a photo of the consequences of the attack.

Kherson State University is one of the oldest educational institutions in southern Ukraine and the largest university in Kherson. It was founded during the First World War in November 1917.
Earlier, Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, reported the shelling of Kherson.
"Russian troops are shelling Kherson from the temporarily occupied left bank! Several explosions were heard in the center and suburbs," he said in a statement.
Later, the Kherson Regional Military Administration informed that the Russian troops had hit a children's hospital. Mrochko clarified that it was a medical facility in the Dniprovskyi district. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
"Due to the security situation, the building was not working. Therefore, there were no doctors or patients in the building," the administration reported.
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, showed what the children's hospital looks like after the shelling.
On the night of October 12, Russian terrorists attacked Chornobaivka and Bilozerka in the Kherson region. As a result of the attack, a man was killed and two other people were wounded, including a child.
