This is stated on the Verkhovna Rada portal with reference to the statement of the President of the European Olympic Committees Spiros Kapralos.
"I know that this question worries many people. Therefore, I have to answer clearly: under the current circumstances, the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in the European Games-2023 is impossible," Kapralos said.
It is known that the competition will be held in Poland from June 21 to July 2, 2023. Poland will host the largest multi-sport event on the continent since 2012.
7,000 athletes will participate in the competition, competing in 25 sports (18 of which are Olympic sports).
