Russia agrees to partially resume ship inspections under grain deal 

Russia agrees to resume inspections of ships sailing to Odesa and Chornomorsk as part of grain initiative

This was announced by Yuriy Vaskov, Deputy Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development (Ministry of Reconstruction) of Ukraine, in a commentary to Interfax-Ukraine.

As of the morning of 19 May, Russia agreed to resume inspections of ships heading to Odesa and Chornomorsk, but refused to inspect ships heading to Pivdennyi port.

"Russia has agreed to resume inspections of the incoming fleet to the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, but refused to inspect vessels heading to the port of Pivdennyi," Vaskov said.

This happened after statements about the continuation of the grain deal.
