Russia accuses Ukraine of missile attack on occupied Crimea

This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry and the Krymskiy Veter (Crimean Wind) Telegram channel.
"A loud explosion was reported from Simferopol and Perevalne. The explosion was also heard in the Bakhchisaray district and in Alushta," the Telegram channel wrote.
Instead, the Russian Defense Ministry claims that on the night of August 19, there was an attempt to attack the occupied Crimea with an anti-aircraft missile of the S-200 air defense system converted into a strike version.
"The Ukrainian missile was timely detected and shot down in the air by Russian air defense systems," the statement said.
They also added that there were no casualties or damage.
