Roman Chaika dies defending Ukraine from invading Russian forces
Roman Chaika, a Carpathian, from Zalukva village in the Galician part of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, died fighting against Russian forces, for Ukrainian independence.

The Galician Territorial Community reported the loss, reports Espreso.West.
"It is with deep sadness that we announce another heavy loss in the war against the Russian invaders. Our countryman from the village of Zalukva, Roman Chaika, born in 1986, gave his life for Ukraine. May the Lord accept his soul and give strength to his family and friends to endure grief", it says.
Days of mourning have been declared in the Galician community. The date and time of his funeral will be announced later.
