Rheinmetall builds service hub for Ukrainian weapons in Romania
The German arms concern Rheinmetall completes the creation of a base for maintenance and repair of Ukrainian military equipment in Romania

Rheinmetall is building a logistics and weapons repair center in Satu Mare, Romania. It will play a central role in maintaining the operational readiness of Western combat systems used in Ukraine.
The center will begin operation in April 2023 to maintain and repair Leopard 2 and Challenger tanks, self-propelled howitzers, Marder infantry fighting vehicles, Fuchs armored personnel carriers and military trucks.
"It is a key concern for us at Rheinmetall to provide the NATO forces and Ukraine with the best possible support," Chief Executive Armin Papperger said in a statement.
