Resistance movement is growing in Crimea - official

Denys Chystikov, Deputy Representative of the Ukrainian President in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, says that despite persecution and repression, the resistance movement against Russia is gaining momentum in Crimea

He said this on Espreso TV.

"There are not so few people with a pro-Ukrainian position in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Their number is only growing. However, the Russian special services intensify repressive measures against our people almost every day. These include harassment, monitoring of Telegram channels, etc. Despite this, the resistance movement in Crimea is growing. In particular, the number of actions on the peninsula has increased significantly. Previously, we could observe several actions of resistance to the occupying forces every week, and now it is daily," he said.

According to Chystikov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are constantly receiving military information from representatives of the Resistance Movement in Crimea.

"The volume of military information from people with a pro-Ukrainian position in Crimea has also increased. This is confirmed by the coordinators of the Resistance Movement. This information is used by our military for further destruction of warehouses, equipment and headquarters of the Russian troops in Crimea. We have also created an online map of the deployment of Russian troops in Crimea, which is systematically updated," he added.
