Denmark to allocate €6 million for rebuilding Ukraine's energy infrastructure
Denmark has announced the allocation of €6 million to restore Ukraine's energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks
The government website of Ukraine reported the information.
The allocation of funds to Ukraine was discussed during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna, and a Danish delegation led by Minister for European Affairs of Denmark, Marie Bjerre Holst, who visited Kyiv for the first time on December 3.
"At the beginning of the meeting, Marie Bjerre Holst announced a new aid package for the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure: 6 million euros will be allocated to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine under the Energy Community," the statement reads.
As noted, during the meeting, the parties focused on discussing issues related to the European Union's enlargement process, Ukraine's accession to the EU, and the necessary transformations along this path.
Stefanishyna informed her Danish counterparts about the progress of bilateral meetings within the framework of the screening of Ukrainian legislation for compliance with EU law, particularly the results of recent sessions under Cluster 2 Internal Market.
The Danish Minister for European Affairs emphasized that supporting Ukraine has been and remains one of Denmark's priorities. According to Holst, her country aims to see Ukraine as a member of the European Union and will provide comprehensive support to Ukraine on its European integration path.
