Rare Russian BTR-90 spotted among defeated convoy near Avdiivka
Invading Russian forces used a rare wheeled armored personnel carrier BTR-90 Rostock in the battles around Avdiivka
This is reported by Defense Express and Militarnyi.
On October 10, invading Russian forces launched an offensive in the Avdiivka area, attempting to surround the city - and as a result of the Ukrainian Defense Forces' fierce resistance, Russia lost thousands of troops as well as hundreds of weapons and military equipment, some of which were extremely rare or outdated.
It was near Avdiivka that the Defense Forces first destroyed a Russian BTR-50, and the footage of the destroyed enemy armored personnel carrier, along with a T-64BV tank, was published by the 110th Detached Mechanized Brigade.
At the same time, the same brigade has recently released a new video with quite telling footage of Russian armored vehicles burned in the Avdiivka sector, and among other things, a rather rare Russian BTR-90 Rostock armored personnel carrier can be seen.
Apparently, the invading Russian forces simply abandoned their vehicle. The Russians may try to evacuate it later, although it is also quite likely that the Ukrainian army will simply destroy it.
This is a rather rare enemy armored vehicle, of which the Russian army may have only a few units.
