The company created computer programs for Russian special services. These programs were used to track, listen to, and intercept messages.
As reported by the British newspaper Daily Mirror, a person from the Russian opposition said that Cherepennikov was “a key tool for Putin's oppressive actions.”
The Daily Mirror's source mentioned that the assassination might have been possible because the security forces are upset about the failures in the war.
According to the British newspaper Sun, journalists believe that there have been around forty suspicious deaths since Putin's invasion of Ukraine began.
