Putin's arrest warrant is sign that civilized world moving in right direction – Ukrainian lawyer Babin
Former Representative of Ukraine’s President in Crimea, Doctor of Law Borys Babin stressed that the decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague to issue an arrest warrant for Putin is a sign of the rule of law in the world
He stated this on the air of the Espreso TV channel
"It is very symbolic that international law issues an arrest warrant for the Russian dictator on the same day when Putin began the annexation of Crimea in 2014. By the way, I would like to remind you that many people said that Putin should have immunity from arrest as the head of state. I will not specify the names of these people. However, today I am very pleased that the International Criminal Court in The Hague has issued an arrest warrant for the Russian president. This is the right and correct decision. The decision to issue an arrest warrant for Putin is a sign that the civilized world is moving in the right direction," Babin explained.
