Putin should end this war, Zelensky should determine what victory will look like - Kirby

Kirby said this in an interview with Voice of America.

"Of course, we want Ukraine's sovereignty to be fully respected, we want Ukraine's territorial integrity to be fully restored. In fact, Putin must end this war, but Mr. Zelensky can determine what victory will look like," Kirby said.

He noted that the United States is focused on allowing Ukraine to continue defending itself and its sovereignty.

"And, obviously, the Ukrainians are fighting. Only they determine what operations they will carry out, this is their right. The weapons are now Ukrainian property, and they decide how they will use it.

And the weapons they get from the United States are now theirs," Kirby said.
