Putin introduces bill to cancel Russia's treaties with Council of Europe
Vladimir Putin has submitted to the State Duma a bill to abolish international treaties of the Russian Federation with the Council of Europe, including the Convention on Human Rights

Russian propaganda media reported the information.
International treaties will cease to be in force in Russia on March 16, 2023. It concerns the following treaties:
- Charter of the Council of Europe;
- General Agreement on Privileges and Immunities of the Council of Europe;
- Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as ten protocols thereto;
- European Convention on the Suppression of Terrorism;
- European Charter of Local Self-Government;
- European Social Charter.
- Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to expand the Russian army to 1.5 million servicemen over the next 3 years.
