Evening Standard shared the statement.

According to the British publication, the 36-year-old lieutenant colonel of the 90th Tank Division, Vitaly Tsykul, who was killed in Ukraine, became the hundredth colonel or lieutenant colonel of Russian troops killed during five and a half months of full-scale war.

The publication notes that in addition to this, the Russian Federation lost 12 generals in Ukraine.

The Evening Standard suggests that casualties among senior officers are likely to be higher because Russia is covering them up. Mostly they become known from regional mass media and social networks.

The newspaper states that such a number of dead indicates the huge scale of the losses of the Russian army, which it suffers in Ukraine.
