"We cannot underestimate what Putin's aggression entails. We understand that Russia is preparing for another missile attack. We know that Russia is striking with ballistic missiles and drones. Russia is deliberately doing everything to make Ukrainians suffer," Austin emphasized.
According to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Putin's target is Ukrainian civilians.
"Putin wants to undermine the spirit of Ukrainians, but he will not succeed. Putin hopes to demoralize Ukrainian society, but he is demoralizing his own military. He wants to isolate Ukraine, but he has isolated Russia. Putin hoped to fool the whole world, but he couldn't even fool his own mercenaries," Austin emphasized.
