Putin calls Ukrainians "Russian people": fake news and manipulations for December 19
The Center for Countering Disinformation has published a selection of fakes that the Russian enemy produced on December 19

According to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, on December 19, the Russians launched three major deceptions.
Manipulation: Russian Telegram channel Ukraine.ru wrote: "Whoever the formal leaders of modern Ukraine are, in politics they have long been implementing the program of radical Ukrainian nationalists and neo-Nazis. Consistent de-Russification, the fight against the canonical church and the Russian Federation, which nationalists consider an existential threat. If any Ukrainian politicians speak of a ceasefire, they are threatened with reprisals by nationalist armed groups."
Disinformation: Dictator Vladimir Putin said: "Ukrainians are a fraternal people, and the southeast of Ukraine is the territory of the Russian people".
Manipulation: The pro-Russian Telegram channel Resident wrote: "The President's Office is aware of the illusory nature of the EU summit's decision to open accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova. In fact, we were given an empty symbol."
