Putin believes partially mobilized servicemen will be weapon of victory - military expert Selezniov
Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to bargain for time and believes that the mobilized will become a weapon of victory
Vladyslav Selezniov, military expert and colonel with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"Before the start of a full-scale war, many experts believed that 10,000 to 12,000 people would be unacceptable losses for Putin. Just the other day I heard the information that if Russia continues to lose its mobilized and Wagner PMC mercenaries at this rate, its losses will reach 200,000 somewhere closer to the middle of summer," he said.
According to the expert, this is quite possible, because Putin does not pay attention to the losses of his army.
"He is trying to bargain for time and believes that the mobilized will become a weapon of victory. That is why experts talk about the prospect of a massive Russian attack in 3 directions: eastern, southern and northern (Kyiv region). This will not solve Putin's problems. He has already lost this war. There is no motivation, no sense in this war for the Russian occupation army. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are acting in a coordinated and rational manner to fulfill the task: to destroy the Russian army and clean the land from the occupants within the borders of 1991," Selezniov concluded.
- Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov warned the Russians liable for military service about the closure of borders for men by the Russian authorities in early January and a new wave of mobilization.
