Putin arrives in Belarus for CSTO meeting

On Thursday, November 23, Russian leader Vladimir Putin arrived in Belarus to attend a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization

This was reported by the Russian propaganda agency TASS.

"Today, Vladimir Putin arrives in Minsk, where he will take part in the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization," the message reads. 

The propagandists reminded that the last time Putin visited Minsk was 11 months ago. 

The monitoring group Belarusian Hajun reported that the Russian president's plane landed at Minsk airport at 11:14 a.m. Kyiv time. 

For reference. The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is a military-political international organization that includes Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan. According to official Russian documents, the organization, established on May 15, 1992, is seen as the main interstate instrument designed to counter regional challenges and threats of a military-political and military-strategic nature, including the fight against illegal trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

• On November 14, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan refused to participate in the CSTO summit in Minsk. The Kremlin expressed regret over this.
