Putin and Iranian Ayatollah are losing their positions - Nazarbayev's ex-advisor
Leaders of Iran and Russia act against all the interests of their states and peoples, putting themselves in a precarious position
Alnur Musayev, the former head of Kazakhstan’s National Security Committee and former adviser to the President of Kazakhstan on national security issues, said this live on air of the "West Studio with Antin Borkovsky" program on the Espreso TV channel.
"I predicted it was unlikely that Iran would supply Russia with drones - and I was deeply mistaken. And why was I mistaken? Because it does not represent any global, economic or military-political interests of Iran. Putin has gone mad, that's clear. But Ayatollah is a Muslim and understands some global interests. At that time, there were negotiations on the lifting of sanctions and embargoes on Iran, and negotiations were with the West regarding the nuclear program. And it seemed to me that Iran would not agree to such a game - supply of military weapons to Russia" Musaev noted.
According to him, it turned out that Putin and Ayatollah are worthy of each other.
"Difficult processes are taking place there, protests in Iran, people really see that Ayatollah's power has weakened and that's why there are such problems. So when such a situation has already arisen, they will interact. Russia is probably making some supplies to Iran, possibly weapons, there are talks about supplying fighter jets there. But Russia has the biggest problems with aviation, so for now everything is at the level of talks. It is very difficult to predict a situation when leaders of this level act against all the interests of the state, the interests of people and above all the interests of the state leadership personally - Putin is making his own chair shake under him, as well as the Ayatollah. Therefore, I believe they will continue this cooperation, but Ukraine and its partners will find a clear countermeasure to drones and possible supply of Iranian missiles" he concluded.
