Push underway to get Trump on board with European plans

Does Putin have rational reasons to end the war? Without a doubt, yes. They lie in the economy, no matter what you might think.

Does this mean Putin is ready to end the war? Obviously not. I won’t list the possible reasons, as I’m not even sure they fall within the realm of rationality.

So why did Zelenskyy go to Turkey? You might ask.

It’s very simple: everything must be done to prevent Trump from avoiding joining European initiatives on the new sanctions package (which he is openly trying to do).

From this perspective, Zelenskyy did everything right.

P.S. In 2016, when everyone was harshly criticizing the post-Maidan government, I wrote as a joke: “Even if I point out that Yatsenyuk knows the multiplication table well, I will still be crucified here by well-meaning commentators.” 

Today, something similar is happening with Zelenskyy. Most opposition members are unwilling to accept even the smallest positive assessment of his actions, even though a broken clock shows the right time twice a day.

People, please try to stay objective.
