Prigozhin accuses Shoigu and Gerasimov of ‘treason’ for not providing ammo to Wagner troops

Yevgeny Prigozhin said that Russian Defense Minister Shoigu and Russian General Staff Chief Gerasimov are prohibiting the supply of ammunition to the Wagner fighters in order to destroy the group

Prigozhin noted in a commentary for his press service that the Russian military leadership does not allow the Wagner PMC to be supplied with ammunition and aircraft. According to him, a decree has also been signed to stop the supply of sapper blades. Prigozhin said that this is an attempt to destroy the PMC, which can be equated to "high treason."

"The Chief of the General Staff and the Minister of Defense are issuing orders, which state that the Wagner PMC should not be given ammunition and provided with air support. Now we have received information that they have cancelled the delivery of sapper shovels so that the guys can dig in. There is direct opposition, and this is nothing more than an attempt to destroy the Wagner PMC. It can be equated to treason against the motherland. At a time when Wagner's PMC is fighting for Bakhmut, losing hundreds of its fighters every day," Prigozhin said.

He noted that some of the ammunition has been provided by the Akhmat unit and some others. According to him, "generals who are close to the group's leadership sign documents, including those that will put them in jail by the military prosecutor's office," to provide PMCs with ammunition.
