"Price of captivity": released Azov fighter Mykhailo Dianov's right hand has lost 4cm of bone - journalist
The Azovstal defender from Ternopil, senior sergeant with the 36th Brigade Mykhailo Dianov, whose photo has been shared widely on social media, was brought home from captivity during the prisoner exchange on September 21.
Journalist Violetta Kirtoka covered the story, Espreso.Zahid reports.
The Mariupol defender, who was released after 4 months of captivity, was seriously wounded during fighting in Azovstal. He was shot in both legs and the bone in his right hand was shattered.
"The price of captivity. And a vivid proof of the "humanity" of our Russian enemies... The wounded hand is not something that has not grown. It is missing 4 centimeters of bone. Treatment and recovery will obviously take a long time," Kirtoka wrote on her Facebook page.
She also urged people who care to help the soldier financially.
"When I opened this picture, it hurt me physically. What these indomitable people went through... Now they need our help. Various. Monetary. Moral. Social. Medical," the journalist added.
