Power system continues to recover after Russian missile strike - Ukrenergo
The Ukrainian power system continues to recover after the ninth massive Russian missile strike, which was inflicted on December 16
This was reported by Ukrenergo on Telegram.
Particularly, the process of bringing nuclear power units, except for the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, to the level of planned capacity continues. Thermal power plants are gradually resuming operation. Hydroelectric power plants continue to operate as scheduled. Emergency repair works are being carried out at the power facilities damaged by attack.
"Electricity deficit in the system is still significant as a consequence of nine missile attacks. All regional power companies have been informed about consumption limits. The state of power grids across the country is complicated by weather conditions. Rain with snow, frost and strong winds lead to equipment icing. Repair crews are working around the clock," Ukrenergo informed.
The emergency mode, which was introduced for operations in the electricity market, was terminated on December 16 at 19:15. Currently, the electricity market of Ukraine is operating normally.
