Positional fighting takes place in Avdiivka direction - Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Prozapas
Valerii Prozapas, a captain with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, believes that operational impasse will last for a long time
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
"The dynamics are unchanged, there are constant positional battles along the entire contact line, in particular in the Avdiivka direction. In general, this trend is observed along the entire frontline in the Donetsk region. At the moment, there are no accumulations of enemy forces and assets to suggest that the enemy will try to do what it failed to do in the winter. As I understand it, the enemy is rotating its personnel, replenishing them with mobilized personnel. They have a lot of untrained personnel who do not orient on the terrain," noted the Ukrainian Armed Forces captain.
Valerii Prozapas notes that now is not the time for Ukrainian troops to let their guard down, because Putin evidently relies on a protracted phase of the war and will compensate for the lack of skilled personnel with numbers.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces are aware of this, we are keeping the situation under control, and all our firepower, communications and intelligence assets are in constant readiness and are used at the slightest action by the enemy. In my opinion, the situation of operational stalemate will last for quite some time," Prozapas said.
