Positional battles are ongoing near Priyutne in Zaporizhzhia region
The captain of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Prozapas noted that the enemy will suffer heavy losses while maintaining the defense in the south
He stated this on Espreso.
“In the southern region, there are regular units of the Russian army consisting of professional soldiers and mobilized individuals. There are also Caucasians and remaining units of the so-called DPR. We have noticed cases where their soldiers refuse to carry out combat tasks. Recently, mobilized Russian individuals shared a video expressing their unwillingness to go to Priyutne, the village where positional battles are currently taking place. They believe it would mean certain death, and I confirm that certain death awaits them there,” he said.
According to the captain of the Armed Forces, the Russians can no longer afford the massive assaults, like the ones observed in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.
"The enemy has started taking us seriously. They understand that they suffer losses while they continue to defend in the south. The Russians cannot afford the “cannon fodder” attacks we witnessed in Bakhmut and Avdiivka, where they sent unprepared personnel into battle. It seems like they were studying our capabilities," Prozapas suggested.
