Portugal to send 3 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine next month
Portugal is repairing some of its Leopard 2 tanks and will send 3 of them to Ukraine next month
According to Reuters, the information was announced on Wednesday, February 8, by Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa.
"Right now we are implementing the recovery and maintenance plan for the Leopard 2 tanks and, according to the plan, we are in a position to be able to send three of them in March," Costa said during a speech in parliament.
Earlier, on Saturday, the Portuguese prime minister said that the country was holding talks with Germany to obtain the spare parts needed to repair the inoperable Leopard tanks in service in Portugal.
