Pope is added to Myrotvorets database: Ukraine refutes Russian fake
Russian online resources are spreading fake information that Pope Francis has been added to the Myrotvorets database of Ukraine’s enemies
This was reported by the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation.
Fake news say that Pope Francis was reportedly added to the Ukrainian Myrotvorets* database because the Pontiff called on Russian youth to never forget their historical heritage and said "thank you" for their way of being "Russian".
"The information that the Pope was included in the Myrotvorets database is an invention of Russian propagandists, aimed at discrediting Ukraine in the international arena. There is no mention of the Pontiff on the website," the Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes.
The experts call on Ukrainians and Europeans to trust only sources of verified information.
*The Ukrainian Myrotvorets (Peacemaker) website is a vast unofficial database of people considered to be enemies of Ukraine. The website has close ties to law enforcement agencies and hackers.
