Polish Senate recognizes Russian government as terrorist regime
The Senate of Poland has unanimously adopted a resolution recognizing the Russian government as a terrorist regime. It calls on the world community to support the International Criminal Court in the investigation of Russian war crimes in Ukraine
This is reported on the Senate portal.
The Polish Senate unanimously by 85 votes adopted a resolution recognizing the Russian Federation as a terrorist regime, in which it “strongly condemns Russian aggression and calls on all countries that support peace, democracy and human rights to recognize the Russian Federation as a terrorist regime.”
“Bandits in Russian uniforms torture and kill prisoners of war and civilians in the occupied territories. They kidnap Ukrainian children to raise them as regime janissaries. They deport, resettle, and send Ukrainian citizens to the far periphery of Russia,” the resolution reads.
In the document, the senators recall that on February 24, 2022, the Russian Armed Forces launched a brutal war against Ukraine, wanting to wipe the sovereign country off the map and destroy its nation. They emphasize that the heroic defense of independence by the citizens of Ukraine caused the admiration of the entire free world. Today, Ukraine is the most important place that protects democracy and freedom.
The senators emphasized that Europeans believed that they would never be threatened by genocide and war crimes. Meanwhile, Putin and his apparatus of violence have returned to the brutal practices of the Stalinist and Nazi regimes. Therefore, Russia must be defeated and deprived of the opportunity to endanger its neighbors.
