Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki arrives in Kyiv
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has arrived in Kyiv. A series of meetings in Ukraine are scheduled on geopolitics, energy and military security.
This is reported by the Polish news channel Polsat News.
Polish government spokesman Piotr Muller said that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki arrived in Kyiv to discuss issues related to the geopolitical situation, the energy market and military security.
Information about the visit was made public with a delay due to security concerns, the official explained. Moravetskyi's presence in Ukraine is a kind of "political signal to the Kremlin."
"This signal will also be sent today. We will support Ukraine in this very difficult situation. We believe that Russia violates all possible international standards. The protection of Ukraine is the protection of our security," the government spokesman added.
When asked about the progress of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, Piotr Muller replied: "Every subway found is good news, they should not be accompanied by good information about the full, tragic picture that has been presented by Russia. I am not too optimistic that this is a big change in this war situation."
