Polish initiative collects cars for Ukrainian defenders

Mateusz Wodzinski, an activist and blogger from the Polish village of Lapiche, has started a fundraiser to raise money to buy vehicles for the Ukrainian military.

This was reported by Polish Radio.

Having initiated the collection for cars for the Ukrainian army, Wodzinski was the first to donate his Grand Vitarę to the needs of the front.

Soon, thanks to benefactors, it was possible to collect more than 100,000 zlotys and donate five more SUVs to Ukraine.

"The need for such SUVs at the front is extremely great. I personally took some to the front, and left some for the military in Kyiv, from where they were supposed to go to the front line. The machines help the Ukrainian military in their daily efforts to contain the aggressor," Wodzinski said.

Now he is preparing two more cars for shipment to Ukraine, but he is not stopping there. He is fundraising for the next pickups.

"Of the various types of off-road vehicles, pickup trucks are the most convenient for soldiers. They can move around, they can transport some kind of weapons, but most importantly, they can be used to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield," the activist explained.
