The protest started at about 11 a.m.. A convoy of 15 trucks of Ukrainian carriers and about 20 cars arrived at the border. Law enforcement officers are on duty at the site of the action.
The drivers on the trucks posted posters with inscriptions in Ukrainian, Polish and English.
"Ukrainian carriers and drivers who have joined the protest plan to stop and obstruct the movement of Polish truck drivers who bypass the general queue at the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint. It is not yet known how long the action will last. Preliminary, Ukrainian carriers plan to stay at the border until March 10," the statement said.
Earlier it was reported that Polish farmers promised to block all border crossings with Ukraine for a month starting February 20. At the same time, Ukrainian carriers announced their own protest in response to the actions of Polish farmers.
