Poland, Ukraine to sign agreement on drone cooperation

Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz says Poland will cooperate with Ukraine in training personnel to operate UAVs, among other areas

He made this statement during his visit to Kyiv, RMF24 reports.

Kosiniak-Kamysz arrived in Ukraine on the morning of September 18. During the visit, he stated that Poland will cooperate with Ukraine, including in developing skills for operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

“We will sign an agreement on cooperation between the ministries, as well as on gaining skills in drone operations. The negotiations will focus on developing joint industrial initiatives,” he said.

The Polish Defense Minister also noted that another priority is improving the qualifications of Polish troops based on the experience gained in Ukraine.

According to him, applying the lessons learned on the new battlefield is crucial for transforming the Polish army and NATO as a whole.
