This was reported by the Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.
"There is unpleasant news from the blocked Polish border. Protesters and police are stopping buses going to and from Poland. Passengers are being held without any explanation," he wrote.
Kubrakov stressed that such actions are unacceptable towards Ukrainian citizens. He said that during the war in Ukraine, the passengers of such buses are women with young children, socially vulnerable people, military personnel returning or going to training, and people in transit.
"An attempt to make them hostages to a protest seems inappropriate for the civilized world" the minister commented.
Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zvarych informed that due to the blocking of passenger buses, the Ukrainian consul had left for the Yagodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint.
"In connection with the information about unreasonable delays by Polish protesters of passenger buses in front of the Dorohusk checkpoint, the consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin immediately left for the site," the ambassador wrote.
According to him, the consul will hold the necessary negotiations on the spot to prevent any delays in the movement of passenger buses. The ambassador emphasises that the movement of passenger vehicles and passenger buses must be free of obstacles.
